We would like to say ‘Thank you’ and share our amazing year with you during this holiday period.

Kan Pa Nou 2012 marked our 3rd year organizing a summer camp for children affected by the January 12th, 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Our summer camp program started during the summer of 2010 targeting girls affected by the January 10th disaster. After two years in August 2012 we expanded the summer camp program to include boys who have also been affected by the earthquake.

The last 3 years have led us on an inspiring journey. Each year we do our best to raise enough funds to offer a week-long summer camp program for 100 girls, and 100 boys in Haiti. This summer was a success and we hope to bring the same experience to 100 girls, and 100 boys next year. Although this program began due to the January 12th, 2010 earthquake, our long term goal is to provide a safe, positive, and nurturing summer camp experience to as many children in need as possible. With the help of local and international volunteers, supporters and donors we have been able to bring positivity into the lives of young girls and boys affected by the earthquake.

We would like to dedicate a special thank you to all our local and international volunteers, supporters, and donors – without you ‘Kan Pa Nou’ could not be a reality!

Interested in supporting? Volunteer or Make a tax-deductible gift by midnight tonight and help us get ready for a year of new opportunities to provide joy to a child who desperately needs it.

With a donation of $100 a girl or boy will be able to enjoy a week long camping experience at ‘Kan Pa Nou’ 2013.

We will keep you up informed on our up-coming summer programs/projects, and provide information about ‘Kan Pa Nou’ fundraisers and events, so please take a moment to connect with us via Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Thank you for your support – and have a happy and safe New Year!

Hello Kan Pa Nou Volunteers!

To stay updated on necessary information leading up to ‘Kan Pa Nou’ review the info below .

Preparation & Resources
Volunteer Resources – Resources to help you plan your trip. The information and resources listed will aid you in researching what is necessary to travel and the documents required.

Passports & Visas
You must have a passport to travel to Haiti. We recommend you bring a photocopy of the face page of your passport with you to carry around while traveling in Haiti. If your passport is lost or stolen you can get a replacement from the nearest consulate/embassy and having a photocopy makes this easier.

For Canadian citizens – click here

Visas are not required for US and Canadian citizens entering Haiti but a valid passport is.

Travel Warnings and Medical Requirements
To stay updated on the region you are traveling to visit the State Department updates which are available 24 hours a day.

Insurance
Although Kan Pa Nou has medical facilities and staff at the camps disposition, we do not offer insurance coverage. If insurance is a concern to you, we strongly suggest that you provide your own coverage. Some travel related insurance carriers are HTH Worldwide and Global Rescue LLC.
